Oh yes, I missed yesterday’s post in case some of you were wondering where it was. My family had an eventful few days planning for my son’s playgroup Holiday Soiree, Gramma coming to town & a few other todos that kept my plate extra full.
Welcome to my world of busy that most of the time I love with the occasional freak out. This week was close, but I’m all good now that the weekend is here!
I love hearing from you all about how you’re loving these posts and getting some of your holiday shopping done early! You can thank me when you’re relaxing with a holiday cocktail and no stress on the 24th. 😉
Since I missed yesterday I doubled up on stocking stuffer ideas for today. Tomorrow I will start with other gift ideas under $25 and yes, there are gifts under $25 that won’t fit in a stocking…I promise!
**This is over $25, but worth it in my opinion** Yes, I know some of you may be rolling your eyes at this but before you do a full eye roll take a look at the research. I am on the side of I’d rather be safe than sorry, so a radiation protecting phone case is worth it to me. My hubby who is less granola than I am reluctantly accepted the case I bought when he got his new iPhone a few months ago. Now, he’s given the case two thumbs up! A perfect stocking stuffer for the techy dude in your life. 🙂
What guy doesn’t enjoy a close shave?!? My hubby is sans any type of facial hair because of his work. He normally would buy new blades here and there, but after reading about the perfect shave I learned it’s important to have “fresh” blades. When I found the Dollar Shave Club I thought I would give it a go as an anniversary gift…some sort of metal was for our last anniversary. 🙂 Each month a new set of blades and a handle arrives and it’s actually less expensive than the blades I bought at the drug store. A few months in “the club” and my hubby is really enjoying is new shave! Pop a handmade gift certificate in your guys stocking.
Essential oils are a whole new world to me, but the more I research and learn about the healing properties I am in love! Last week I made a few blends with some friends, but storing them for on-the-go use is new to me. This case holds a variety of options and comes in other fabric styles. It does take 1-2 weeks to receive and the shop also offers a laminated cotton for $5 that is super easy for cleanups.
If you are using one of those plastic, hang from your mirror air fresheners, please throw it out. It’s full of synthetic fragrances and not good for your endocrine system or body as a whole. Replace it with a car diffuser like the one above that is a humidifier and diffuses your favorite essential oil. You’ll end up saving money in the long run because this is reusable and better for the earth as well!
For the Kiddos
Living far away from family isn’t easy, but little things like a family photos memory game is a wonderful way to help kiddos stay connected with loved ones who are living afar. This game comes in a cute muslin bag that you can either add initials or a name to. Make sure to place your order before 12/10 for Christmas delivery!
When my son was a teeny tiny nugget, he LOVED this musical toy! We joked and called it baby crack because if he was upset we’d pull out the music toy, hold it so he could see the colors lighting up and he would immediately calm down. I’ve also heard from lots of other parents that the same thing happens to their kiddos, so this a proven baby calmer downer tool. 😉 To give you fair warning the music is a bit obnoxious, but when you see how fast your kiddos calms down it will be worth it!
Check back tomorrow to see what’s next on my gift giving list!
