Sooooo, who saw my Facebook Live debacle this morning?? I was so excited to share the thrifty find I snagged at Target last week with you all, but broke my #1 social media rule…I mentioned my little guys name during the video. For some it’s no biggie, but for me I prefer to keep that 411 as low pro as possible.
Because of that hiccup, I decided to make another quick live video that went haywire as my little guy walked up the stairs away from the beach. Just when I thought I made a somewhat “graceful recovery” a staff member from the nearby aquarium asked if I would like to check out a sea snail. Seriously? Really? Could this live video get any worse?!?
As mortifying as the situation was I’m not giving up on sharing my favs with you all on live video, but I did delete that one. Pretty sure it would come back to haunt me someday when I run for President. 😉
Let’s get to the good stuff! Did I mention how much I LOVE Target? I live about 35 minutes from the nearest Target; therefore I rarely go. It’s been great for our budget, but not great for my quality bargain finds!
Sand toys that won’t disintegrate after two trips to the beach or park are hard to find. Its only June and my little guy has blown through more buckets and shovels than I can count!
When I saw this bag-o-toys with a sturdy shovel, bucket, truck, sand molds, etc., I had to have it. This is mom life and your have to haves change…a lot.
$15 will get you an awesome bag to tote all the toys around and you don’t have to feel guilty about leaving it in your car as a second set of beach/park toys because it only cost $15!
Check, check, check out what’s inside:
The bucket is super sturdy and I love that it’s not going to split or crack on day one of beach fun. 😉
The set of four sand molds are my son’s new favorite at the beach. He asks me repeatedly to fill the molds up with wet sand, hand them to him, he flips them over and after he lines up a few he smashes them with the shovel. #suchaboy
This dump truck is a beast! It’s solid and easily rolls through the sand. The pinwheel is super cute to stick in the sand and when the wind twirls it, the pinwheel doesn’t flop over.
The watering can makes me think a genie is going to pop out and grant me three wishes, but so far nothing. I still have an entire summer to hope…right? My son just loves filling it up and pouring the water out.
Every kid needs a good sifter…you just never know when you may strike gold…or silver would suffice.
The shovel and rake are legit. Your kiddos can dig in the heaviest of sand and these tools can handle it!
But wait, there’s more! 😉 The bottom of the bag is probably my favorite because it’s mesh. All the leftover sand you can shake out once you’ve loaded the toys back in the bag. I attached it to my son’s stroller by opening up the velcro from the stroller’s drink caddy and securing the bag to that. It held without a problem.
To snag one of these sets you’ll have to venture into Target. I looked online, but could not find the exact set. There were a few similar, but I can’t vouch for the durability. Plus, who doesn’t love a trip to Target!
Thanks for tuning in earlier today and I promise to give FB Live another try. I guess practice makes perfect and for a girl who prefers to be behind the camera I think I’m going to need a lot of practice!
Have an amazing weekend!
